Great illo! fantastic characters. I like your hand sketchy look a lot - i think the shadows would probably make the characters really pop and you’re right, it does have a warmer feel to it which is always good. great work!

I really like the extra mile you went to add more sketchiness. I think it also adds more motion. It would add a lot more interest to the whole thing and would be less flat. Your question about the children’s book preference is a good question I’ve been asking myself too. It seems like they like warmer, hand-done (looking) work more.
